Thank you, 2013

Since this could be our last year in Toronto, we decided to celebrate and party with everybody at Nathan Phillips Square.  That was fun, if somewhat cold (windchill: -20ºC)!

As for 2013...

I began the year at one of the cities I love most, Reykjavík; enjoyed winter in Toronto like never before; made the most of the diversity of cuisines in the city; explored Jewish life, and yiddish; saw Toronto's trans side; saw The Book of Mormon (!); celebrated 12 years with husband; saw Banff (!); had my first glacier walk; saw the most amazing dinosaurs in Alberta; got closer to good friends; finally went for jazz at The Rex; went back "home" to Lebanon after so many years; saw husband's Butoh creative explosion; turned 40 in Montreal, talked lots of québécois French and went to my first circuit party ever; enjoyed one of the best Nuit Blanche I had seen in Toronto; saw family back home; saw more horror films than ever at the After Dark film festival; experienced my first ice storm...

On the negative side... Well, why fixate on bad things when there were so many good things? Bad things, go populate someone else's personal mythology, you have no place here.

2013, thanks for so, so much.
